Responsible for the recycling and waste of San Mateo County. Rethink Waste hired us to help bring color and happiness to their student and visitor center. This is where they teach kids and youth about the importance of recycling how it positively affects our environment. The goal was to create artwork that send themessage of the importance of recycling. We did this by painting what happens to the animals when we throw trash in the ocean. We painted a sea turtle eating plastic and a sea lion stuck in garbage. We hoped to keep it emotional enough that children will understand but not be too devastated. The other side shows where the garbage goes and how it is broken down.
